The Telugu Desam Party, which has been under pressure for not declaring its stand on the burning Telangana issue, has hogged limelight all of a sudden with its supremo N Chandrababu Naidu declaring that he would be announcing his party's stand on the issue in another two days. He made these statements on Monday. The political observers said that Chandrababu Naidu played dice at the right moment to apparently corner Congress party. Since Telangana march (Sagaraharam) is round the corner, Chandrababu Naidu's statement in support of bifurcation can presumably draw soft points from Telangana supporters, which could be beneficial for TDP vote bank in this region, added observers.
Also, Chandrababu Naidu said these two days he would be holding wide range talks with the his party leaders on the issue. If buzz is to be believed, Chandrababu Naidu would apparently convince Seemandhra leaders by stating that TDP earlier gave letter to the Centre in favour of statehood for Telangana.
