Kidnap case: Police question doctor's wife

The Hyderabad police were questioning the wife of the kidnapped doctor Harsha Reddy. His wife was a gynecologist in Manipal who arrived in the city after she apparently got the information on the alleged kidnap. Mr. Harsha Reddy works as a radiologist in Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet. After completing his duties from the hospital, he left for his residence and went missing before reaching home.

The police were apparently suspecting the role of relatives behind the kidnap episode of the doctor two days ago in Hyderabad.  It may be recalled that Dr Harsha Reddy was allegedly abducted by miscreants on Tuesday night and demanded Rs. 50 lakh for his release. The missing incident came to light when the police received complaint from his friend, Mr Hemant Kumar, stating that the doctor had been missing.  Later, the father of Harsha Reddy, Mr Lakshmi Reddy got a phone from abductors who demanded the money.

Meanwhile, the police traced the mobile phone of the doctor, which indicated that he was somewhere near Suryapet of Nalgonda district. Therefore, the police pressed four special teams into action, who launched their search in Vijayawada and Nalgonda districts.
