CPM polit bureau member Brinda Karat is scheduled to arrive in Visakhapatnam today as a part of her three-day-visit to the state. She will take part in a public forum on the bauxite mining. On Tuesday, Mrs. Karat would be staging a protest at Paderu (Araku valley) demanding the government for solving the problems of tribals. On Wednesday, Brinda Karat would raise her voice against the food security bill at Vishakapatnam collectorate.
CPM has been fighting the digging of bauxite in the tribal regions. Brinda Karat, who took up the initiative to educate the tribals on the dangerous of bauxite mining, is touring several places in the country.
