Jagan case: Hearing on petition by ED deferred

The petition filed by the Enforcement Directorate seeking permission for enquiring Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy has been deferred to June 25.  Meanwhile, the counsels of Jaganmohan Reddy have showed rejected to take the notices of Enforcement Directorate (ED). Therefore, ED officials have went to Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad to handover notices to Jaganmohan Reddy directly.

It is known that ED approached CBI Court earlier and sought Jagan's inquiry. In its petition, ED said Jagan has allegedly involved in illegal money laundering and was therefore booked under several sections of FEMA. The court, which earlier deferred the hearing on the petition to June 20, on today again deferred the hearing to June 25.

It may be noted that Jaganmohan Reddy is under judicial custody till June 25 in connection with illegal assets case. He's put behind bars in Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad.
