As many as 20,000 intermediate students in the state have missed the supplementary exams on Wednesday due to lack of hall tickets. The Board of Intermediate Education decided to issue the hall tickets to all these students immediately following the order of Andhra Pradesh High Court. Therefore, the students will now be appearing for the examinations since they received the hall tickets. The parents, on the other hand, demanded the Board of Intermediate Education to be conducted yet another time.
The students vented out their anger against the board stating that day one of the examination was very important to them as Physics examination was conducted on that day and 32 per cent failed that exam last time. The board earlier gave an option only for this year senior inter students to appear for improvement exams. About three lakh intermediate students applied for the Physics paper while 1.5 lakh students who failed in the paper applied for the examination.
Out of the 20,000 students who missed the examination, there are students who were not able to clear the exam as well students who wished to improve the score.
