Politics parties spit venom at each other ahead of bypolls

The political situation in Andhra Pradesh is becoming the topic of the town with even Rahul Gandhi shifting his focus from UP politics to AP politics.  The war of words between the Congress and the TDP is occupying the maximum space in the newspapers.

While the situation of Congress is apparently funny, TDP is trying to shoot two birds with one bullet both Congress and YSR Congress since both the parties are grave threat to the party in the 18 assembly constituencies.  Congress has enough criticism from its own members. Some publicly target the present chief minister, whereas a few criticize the former chief minister—both the members from their own party.

It is known that Congress MP Harsha Kumar alleged that late YSR was against dalits and endowments minister criticized chief minister’s by poll strategy.  The political experts are of the opinion that this kind of self-criticism will make the chances of party’s victory grim.

TDP, on the other hand, is alleging that Congress and YSR Congress are teaming up for wiping TDP off the state.  The party leader Revanth Reddy has asked as to why Jagan is not consoling the officials who were dragged behind the bars for signing on the files during YSR rule. He predicted that Jagan would definitely join the Congress in future.

While chances of Congress winning seem to be low, we have to wait and watch whether TDP bypoll strategy will fetch good results to them despite the sympathy that apparently many people in 18 constituencies have towards Jagan.
