The list of Commissioners for Right for information given by the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, has drawn more controversies and allegations of match fixing. Even the recent version of senior Congress leader Renuka Chowdhary also shows that the high command has shown its discontent over the issue. And of course from day one our PCC Chief has raised his finger on the issue.
But after much hue raised on the issue the opposition leader and Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu, who was a party to the list, suddenly took a U – turn and raised a dissent note on the issue. The CM has severely condemned the attitude of Mr Babu over his sudden U-turn. As per the CM, he along with the TDP leader at the secretariat had a detailed discussion over the issue and the list was finalized with consent of all. He felt it was not right on the opposition leader’s part to take a U-turn on the issue. But Mr Babu said that the list was pre-prepared and was just presented to him in the meeting. Later at his office after going through the list, he found some issues and hence put the dissent note on the issue.
Here there are a few points that have to be brought forward for reader enrichment:
1. Considering the TDP Chief version, when it was a detailed discussion, why he could not voice his opinion at the CMO, against a pre-prepared list. Because as per the protocol both the leaders of the house have to discuss and finalize the list. Secondly on his way back, he could have very well announced his dissent, or at least must have informed that he needed time to evaluate the list of candidates. But the leader did nothing of the sorts. And announced his dissent after much hue was raised by the others.
2. Considering the version of the CM, forgetting the controversies of the list from the oppositions, why could he not garner support form his own party? So the dissent is not only from the opposition but also from within. Hence there is no point in blaming the opposition leader, who will definitely try to save his skin, under the given circumstances.
3. Thirdly the PCC Chief Botsa Sathyanarayana’s comment of `match fixing,’ is it true in nature or is there any political flavor added to the allegation? Because the CM is not an individual and he represents the party. So the decision taken has to have collective support from the party. What does this mean that there is dissent over the list or in the party?
