CM Kirankumar reddy today asked the MPs of the state to exhort pressure on the Centre and the Railway Minister to clear all the railway projects pending in the state.
Addressing the MPs at the Jubilee Hall in Hyderabad this morning, the CM told them to make use of the forthcoming visit of the Railway Minister to Hyderabad on Feb 15. “Let us meet him and exhort more pressure on him irrespective of the party affiliations to get the pending projects sanctioned at the earliest,” he said.
Calling upon the MPs to work together keeping aside the party and regional affiliations, he said PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, Ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sudharshan reddy will also meet the visiting Railway Minister and seek sanction of all pending projects in the present railway budget.
MP Mr Subbirami Reddy requested the CM to take steps to ensure that Visakhapatnam is turned into a separate Railway Zone at the earliest. The MPs, numbering 16, have finally decided to exhort pressure on the Centre to seek immediate sanction for the pending projects and also seek approval for some new railway projects.
While the meeting was boycotted by the TDP saying the CM should have called such a meeting two months back, media persons were not allowed into venue. (JUBS)
