UPA FDI Bill: Shinde, Kamal Nath convenes meet with T MP s

The union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and Kamal Nath are all set to convene a meeting with MP s hailing from Telangana region today. It looks like UPA doesn't want to leave any stone unturned especially in the wake of introduction of FDI bill. Already parties such as Trinamul Congress, which was officially an ally of UPA, confirmed that it would oppose the bill on foreign direct investment in the parliament, there are several other opposition parties including the Left and TDP, which geared up to oppose the bill. At this crucial point, any of Congress MP s not supporting the bill would be having a devastating effect on the UPA.

Therefore, in order to pacify MP s from Telangana region, who have been apparently upset with Congress high command, the big wigs in Delhi plunged into the action. And as a part of the same, Kamal Nath and Shinde called for a meeting with MP s. It has to be mentioned here that there are 12 MP s of Congress from Telangana region.

T MP s decide to boycott the meeting:

The latest information from our sources stated that Telangana Congress MP s have decided to boycott the meeting convened by Shinde and Kamal Nath. It may be noted that T MP s had been pressing hard in support of statehood for Telangana. They were presumably unhappy with high command since it was reportedly dilly dallying on the issue.
