Senior IAS officers have disclosed in a TV channel debate they would direct their colleagues to disclose the details of involvement of ministers in the various scams that have become the topic of the day.
Responding to the challenge thrown out by some ministers that IAS officers should reveal the names of ministers who directed them to violate the rules and ate away the public money, senior IAS officer Prasant Mahapatra, former IAS officers Kaki Madhava Rao and VK Srinivasan told the debate they would bring all the files and examine them and also ask their arrested colleagues to reveal the names of corrupt ministers.
It may be recalled that IAS officers are on the verge of revolt in AP finding fault with the way CBI has been investigating various scams. They also met the CM and complained that CBI has been harassing the IAS officers in the name of investigation while leaving the responsible ministers from the purview of investigation.
Some ministers have reacted wildly to this allegation demanding that IAS officers should reveal the names of ministers who reportedly forced them to go against the rules.
Participating in the TV channel debate on the issue, ministers Mahidhar reddy, Manikya varaprasad and senior congress leader Paladugu Venkat rao have demanded the IAS officers to reveal the names of ministers who looted the public money along with their colleagues in various scams.
The IAS officers said they would surely ask their colleagues to reveal the details of the ministers who were involved in the scams and forced their colleagues to act as per their whims and fancies. (JUBS)
