Dasari’s Udayam to hit stands from May 4

Telugu daily Udayam, which once sent shivers down the spine of Eenadu, is all set to hit the newsstands from May 4 this year.

Andhrawishesh.com had on Dec 6, 2011 reported in an exclusive news story that the Veteran Tollywood director and former union Minister Mr Dasari Narayana rao had decided to revive his Telugu daily Udayam  under the heading ‘Dasari mulling revival of Udayam daily’.

It is now confirmed that the daily is being revived by the famed Tollywood personality and the confirmation has come from a known journalist Mr K. Ankababu who once held senior position in the daily.

Ankababu has written on his wall in the social networking site FaceBook saying it was a pleasure to see the daily hitting the newsstands again. “Very happy to know that Sri Dasari Narayana rao is planning to restart Udayam daily from May 4 this year which has given birth to many journalists and which was trendsetter for fearless journalism,” said Ankababu in his message on FB.

We will have to wait and see whether the revival of the Udayam daily will end the director’s political sabbatical. (JUBS)
