CPI Narayana warns of Cultural Revolution

CPI state secretary Mr Narayana charged only five families have been controlling the Telugu film industry in the state and warned of a cultural revolution to get rid of their control over the film industry.

Addressing journalists after viewing the movie ‘Inkennallu’ in Hyderabad today, Narayana said that the families exercising monopoly over the theaters have not allotted the required number of theaters for it.

“People are being forced to watch the movies produced or distributed by them. People are losing their freedom,” said Narayana.

Observing that the movie ‘Inkennallu’ represents the emotions and feelings of ordinary people and also the true sensitivities of the Telangana people, he said the movie is being forced to be screened in less number of theaters.

Director Rafi criticizes KCR

‘Inkennallu’ director Mr Rafi said that the Telangana Film Chamber has not cooperated in allotting required number of theaters for screening his movie.

“Even the pro-Telangana parties are not cooperating with me in this matter,” Rafi criticized the TRS indirectly for his film not being screened in as many theaters as required.

KCR warns on lack of theaters

TRS chief KCR has warned his party would block the screening of movies produced by producers of other regions in the state if required number of theaters are not allotted for the movie ‘Jai Telangana’ directed by Rasamayi Balakishan. (JUBS)
