731 women in hunger strike for 731 days old Nizamabad T-Stir

One of the most important and complicated issues facing modern India is the Telangana issue. The struggle to create a separate Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital, from the unified Andhra Pradesh is the main objective of the Pro-Telangana protestors. And the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), led by Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), spear heads the revolution. If democracy means people’s opinion, then the consensus of the people of this region should play a vital point in the decision. But the way it is politically dealt with is only resulting in making matters worse.

The two years old protest of hunger strike reached its 731st day today at Bhodhana in Nizamabad district in the Telangana region. The protestors have been on an indefinite strike under the leadership of T-Joint Action Committee for Bhodhana Convenor Gopal Reddy. The stir only enlightens the mindset of the people of the region and their unity to achieve their dreams. On this occasion the TRS leader KCR is to attend an open rally in the town in the evening. People from all walks of life are participating in this relay hunger strike to get an approval from the centre.

The T-JAC had been celebrating the protests as and when the milestones were reached like 50 days, 100 days, 365 days and 500 days. The celebrations included meetings and cultural programmes. The Bhodhana camp of the protest had been regularly visited by many T-Leaders like KCR, JAC Chairman Kodandaram, KTR, Harish Rao and many other leaders.

On account of achieving 731 days milestones the T-JAC plans to organize large scale celebrations in the town. 731 women are going to participate in today’s hunger strike. Tonight at the Ambedkar Chowrastha there is going to be a big rally organized and leaders from various parties are going to address the gathering, as per a communiqué released by the JAC convenor.
