Mr Pratik Reddy, son of former Minister Mr Komatireddy Venkata reddy, and two of his friends were killed in a road accident on the outer ring road at Kollur near Ramachandrapuram on the outskirts of Hyderabad this evening.

The other two persons, who died on the spot along with Pratik reddy, were identified as Chandra reddy and Sujith reddy. Another person, Mr Arava reddy, who was also travelling in the car, was seriously injured in the accident. Mr Pratik reddy was doing his first year engineering graduation.

Eye witnesses said the accident occurred when the occupants tried to avoid running their speeding car over a herd of sheep that suddenly barged onto the road. The Skoda car, bearing the number AP 24 AH 9999, then hit a road divider and turned upside down killing three of the four occupants. The car was fully damaged beyond recognition.

While Komati reddy Venkata reddy and his brother Rajagopal reddy were air-dashing to Hyderabad from Delhi after hearing the tragic news, well wishers and friends of the family have left for the accident site. (JUBS)
