T cong MPs warn of political storm if Telangana is not announced

In the wake of a strong letter written by the Telangana congress MPs to the party president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday saying they would not accept any thing less than a separate state of Telangana, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana hosted breakfast to the T Congress leaders this morning at his residence in Delhi.

During the breakfast discussions, the MPs have reportedly requested Botsa to convey their feelings to the high command.

The T congress MPs in their letter to the party president warned of serious consequences in case any special package or regional development council was announced as a solution to the Telangana issue.

“The present peace in Telangana is nothing but calm before a storm and our silence should not be mistaken as our weakness.  “We will not accept anything less than formation of Telangana,” they told Sonia in their letter.

They reminded the congress leadership that the T congress MLAs stood by the congress government in the state in the wake of the no-confidence motion in the assembly and this must be recognized by the high command.

“If we wanted, the result of the no-confidence motion could have led to the fall of the government,” they observed in their letter. (JUBS)
