The issues of Telangana and price rise created ruckus for the third consecutive day today in parliament resulting in the adjournment of both houses twice.
When the Lok Sabha began its session for the day, TRS members K Chandrasekhara Rao and Vijayasanthi raised the issue of Telangana and demanded the government to introduce the Telangana Bill in the present session.
Congress members of the Telangana region too joined them and raised slogans holding placards in favour of Telangana.
On the other hand, members of SP, RJD and BJD also raised the issue of price rise and demanded a discussion through adjournment motions. Nothing can be heard for a while in the Lok Sabha forcing the Speaker Meira Kumar to adjourn the House till noon.
However, when the Speaker resumed proceedings, similar noisy scenes prevailed again as TRS members had barged into the well and staged a sit-in demanding Telangana state. T congress members too joined them contributing to the ruckus.
Speaker Meira Kumar said she would allow special discussion on price rise under rule 193 and rejected the notices for adjournment motions. The opposition members rejected the offer demanding their adjournment motions be allowed. As the din continued, the Speaker adjourned the house again.
Rajya Sabha was also adjourned twice today as the opposition members created ruckus demanding discussion on price rise. (JUBS)
