TDP Chief Rytu Poru Bata reaches, Kadapa today

The former Chief Minister and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Nara Chandra Babu Naidu on his second day of Rytu Poru Bata to highlight the problems of farmers and the prevailing drought conditions at the national level, will today move across the Kadapa District of Rayalaseema part of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Babu shall discuss with the various Farmers across the district and find out the various issues that are affecting them. He is to cover fifteen villages by foot approximately a distance of fifteen kilometers. The padayatra shall commence at 9 am from Rayachoti constituency Chinna Mandem village and end at 5pm at Raychoti bus stand, where he will be addressing a huge gathering. The former chief minister is accompanied by national media personnel and journalists entourage.

The padayatra the first-ever by Mr. Naidu in his three-decade-long political career, evoked a good response on the first day, Wednesday, with large number of people turning out to hear him. Mr. Naidu, whose defeat in 2004 elections is attributed to the anger among farmers against his policies, is trying to win their support and boost the morale of the party cadre three years ahead of the 2014 elections. Naidu plans to cover 330 to 440 km in 22 districts on foot. He will go on a 15 to 20 km padayatra in each district every day and will take a two or three day break before moving to the next district.
