That the Telangana issue has suddenly gained prominence over other issues plaguing the country has become clear today with the senior congress leaders continuing their discussions for the second day today in Delhi with a view to end the stalemate on Telangana and take it to a logical conclusion.

Senior congress leaders Mr Chidambaram, AK Antony, Ghulam Nabi Azad and the AP Minister in the Union Cabinet Ms Purandhareswari held serious consultations with congress trouble shooter and finance minister Pranab Mukherjee for more than two hours this afternoon at his residence over Telangana.

Later, Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy and Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy met Pranab Mukherjee. Both Mukherjee and Kirankumar are scheduled to meet the Prime Minister later.

All Ministers leaving for Delhi

Sources said that Ghulam Nabi Azad has asked all Ministers of AP to come to Delhi immediately for individual meetings with Pranab Mukherjee. Some important congress leaders of Seema Andhra are also rushing to Delhi at the instance of the congress leadership.
