Do you remember that we reported in the past that mega star Chiranjeevi was working on launching his own TV Channel?
We now learn that the mega hero-turned-congress politician has now named it as S News Channel and speeded up its work. Reports indicate that the S News Channel will go on the air from Vijayadasami onwards.
It is also learnt that Anakapalli congress MLA Mr Ganta Srinivasa Rao and the former PRP leader Mr Thota Chandrasekhar who lost from Guntur in the last Lok Sabha elections as the PRP candidate will also have their stake in the new news channel.
Our sources say that Chiranjeevi hit upon the idea of having own channel to consolidate his political gains in the congress party. Political observers are of the view that the new channel will work more like pro-Chiranjeevi channel rather than a pro-congress channel.
A section of the congress leaders wants to see Mr Chiranjeevi as a new power centre in the congress party and the new news channel would be helpful to achieve that aim.
