The CBI teams, on their second day of raids on Jagan-related companies, seized some hard disks and files from Penna Cements, Aurobindo Pharma, Navbharat Ventures and Hetero Drugs.
Today, some of the CBI teams visited the Pollepalli SEZ in Mahabubnagar district and sites in Khammam district as part of investigation into the case related to investments in business outfits of Jagan. “The searches are going on and we have collected some documents,” said CBI joint director Lakshminarayana who is guiding the raids.
Meanwhile, Jagan and Vijaya Sai Reddy, vice chairman of Jagathi Publications, were named as the first and second accused respectively in the 90-patge FIR lodged in Jagan’s illegal wealth case. In the 47-page FIR registered in the Emaar Properties land scam, senior IAS officer BP Acharya and Mr Parthasaradhi, brother in law of Rajya Sabha MP Mr KVP Ramachandra Rao, were cited as the first and second accused respectively.
The total number of the accused companies and individuals in the two FIRs is put at 74.
