After the Delhi police had arrested anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare and his team this morning in Delhi, extempore support was pouring in for his team from four corners of Andhra Pradesh apart from other places in the country.
TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu abandoned an extended party meeting at NTR Bhavan midway after hearing the news of Anna Hazare’s arrest and decided to hold a protest rally on Tank Bund.
Reports say that people conducted rallies and demonstrations in Guntur, Nizamabad, Kadapa and Vijayanagaram condemning the arrests. Raising anti-corruption slogans, members of the Bharat Swabhiman and Lok Satta demonstrated in Nizamabad and Vijayanagaram towns. While the JNTU students took out rally in Kadapa, Telugu Yuvatha members held a demonstration in Guntur.
