Tollywood expresses solidarity with Hazare

AnnaHazareNot lagging behind others who have stood by the anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare who has shifted his venue of fasting to the Ramlila Maidan from the Tihar jail today, the Telugu film industry too expressed its solidarity to the anti-corruption movement by taking out a rally in Hyderabad.

The rally, organized under the aegis of the AP Film Association, was led by its president and senior actor Mr Murali Mohan. Several prominent film personalities including actors, actresses, producers, directors and other technicians, sported black badges and raised slogans in support of Hazare’s movement against corruption.

The procession of the Tollywood people started at 10 am from the Film Association office and terminated at the Ramanaidu Kalyana Mantapam. Later, some of the celebrities sat on fast at the Kalyana Mantapam for the rest of the day.

“It is high time we responded to the call of Hazare and corruption eliminated from our country,” said Murali Mohan on the occasion.
