Soon after the anti corruption crusader and Gandhian Anna Hazare and his team members were arrested this morning ahead of their proposed indefinite fast demanding a stronger Lok Pal Bill that would bring the judiciary and the Prime Minister also into its jurisdiction, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Home Minister P. Chidambaram and the party general secretary Mr Rahul Gandhi went into a huddle to discuss the ramifications of the arrest.
Meanwhile, there was a country wide hue and cry over the arrest of Hazare and his team members with anti-crusaders demonstrating and courting arrest in Chennai, Mumbai and some other cities across India.
Delhi police have arrested some 300 persons, all supporters of Hazare, after he was taken into custody. In Hyderabad too, some youngsters demonstrated condemning the arrests.
