T congress MPs today rejected a fresh request of the Union Minister and in-charge of the congress affairs in AP Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad to withdraw their resignations in view of the monsoon session of parliament beginning August 1.
Reports said that Azad made the request saying that he needed two months time to solve the T issue through talks and they should withdraw their resignations in view of the monsoon session but the T congress MPs politely refused his request.
T congress MP Madhu Yashki, who along with Balaram Naik and Suresh Shetkar met Mr Azad this evening in Delhi, told media persons that they rejected Azad’s request to withdraw the resignations as there was no assurance from the Centre on the formation of the Telangana state as yet.
Referring to reports that tribal MLAs had his support on the demand for formation of the Manya Seema state, Balarama Naik said that no one has contacted him with such a demand and he never promised any support to any one on such an issue.
“My first preference is for Telangana state and if Telangana is formed, the problems of tribals too would be solved,” he said. “There is no need for Manya Seema state.”
