Hyderabad Breathes Easy After The Pollution Levels Dip Down:- The coronavirus lockdown restricted the people across the country to their homes for over five weeks. This year, the pollution levels came down by a huge extent. The monsoon is expected to make things even more better all over. Hyderabad received enough rainfall from the past three weeks and the drizzles even brought a huge relief from the heat and the sweat. As per the reports from the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB), the pollution levels have dropped in the months of April and May. With the industrial regions remaining closed and vehicles off the roads, Hyderabad witnessed pure air.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) levels in industrial areas such as Balanagar, Jeedimetla, Sanathnagar and Zoo Park came down in May. The AQI level in Sanathnagar was 103 in January and it is 63 in May. For Zoo Park, it is said to be 150 in January and 87 in May. This says how relieved is Hyderabad over the past couple of months because of the lockdown. If the AQI levels are between 0 to 50, the air is pure and good. If the AQI levels are between 51 and 100, the air quality is satisfactory. It goes on from moderate to poor and very poor as the numbers go increasing. If the AQI levels cross 400, the air quality is said to be severely polluted.
