Hinting at the possible dark days ahead in Telangana area, the JAC of the electricity employees of the Telangana region today served a strike notice to the state government.
The JAC leaders met the APTRANSCO CMD Mr Ajay Jain in Hyderabad this afternoon and handed over the strike notice saying they had decided to strike work along with other JACs of the T region for the sake of Telangana.
The JAC convener Mr Raghu told media persons later that around 25,000 employees working in the APTRANSCO, APGENCO, CCDCL and the NPDCL would strike work along with other employees of the Telangana area seeking separate state. “We will also participate in the general strike whenever it begins,” they said in the notice.
“People are agitating for the sake of Telangana in all the ten districts of the area and we naturally want to be part of that agitation,” the notice says.
