TRS president K. Chandrasekhara rao today unveiled the statue of Telangana ideologue Prof. Jayashankar at the Ekasila Park in Warangal.
KCR, along with his family members and Telangana JAC leaders, garlanded the statue profusely and offered prayers and conducted Pujas. KCR renamed the park as Jayashankar park and later participated in a memorial meeting at Vandana Gardens in the town where in the speakers recollected the services of Jayashankar to the cause of Telangana.
Addressing the participants, KCR demanded the government to rename the Warangal district after Jayashankar as a tribute to his services to the Telangana land. “Achieving Telangana would be a grate tribute to Jayashankar,” KCR said and asked the TRS cadres to drive away those MLAs and MPs who would not be willing to resign their seats.
