Danam, Mukesh warn KCR on metro project

Danam, Mukesh warn KCR on metro projectWarning the TRS not to create hurdles to the metro rail project, ministers Danam Nagendar and Mukesh Goud warned KCR that he would have a taste of the anger of the Hyderabad people if the project is obstructed.

Speaking to media persons at the secretariat Tuesday evening, the ministers pooh-poohed the claims of the TRS that most of the temples, Masjids and markets would be destroyed as part of the Metro rail project and said that those who lose their shops would be given alternative shopping places and those who lose their houses would be given compensation at the rate of Rs.45,000 per square yard.

Alleging that KCR has been blackmailing for kickbacks in the project, the ministers made fun of the threat of KCR that Hyderabad would witness bloodshed if the Metro Rail project is implemented.

“You are talking of bloodshed but you and your family members would not be able to step out of your houses if we decide to retaliate,” the ministers warned him. “Will you not allow the people of Hyderabad to live in peace? Are you a rowdy or an anti-social element? In any case, if you provoke the people, we will not keep quiet and you will have a bitter experience,” they told him.

Denying the allegations of KCR that chief minister Kirankumar reddy received Rs.100 Cr as bribe in the metro rail project, the ministers warned him not to make baseless allegations against the congress leaders.

The ministers said that the metro rail agreements were made when Rosaiah was the chief minister and the present chief minister has nothing to do with it. At another press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, ministers Anam Ramnarayana reddy and Geetha reddy defended the chief minister on the issue and warned KCR not to make wild allegations.
