Trio granted bail in cash seizure caseIn a reprieve to the Satya Sai Central Trust members who are facing allegations over shifting of Sai wealth, the additional judicial first class magistrate of Hindupur Mr. B. Kamalakar Reddy on Friday granted conditional bail to the three persons arrested in the cash seizure case.
 
The court granted bail to Engineers Harish Nanda Shetty, Sohan Setty and driver Chandrasekhar on the condition that they should furnish a bond of Rs.10,000 each and they should not leave Hindupur one town police station limits. They were also asked to sign at the police station every day till the case is decided, hand over their passports and cooperate with the investigating officials.
 
The three were arrested at Kodikonda checkpost on June 18 by the Ananthapuram police while shifting the Yajurmandiram cash illegally to destinations in Bangalore. The police confiscated Rs.35 lakh from them and sent them to remand.
 
Meanwhile, the Income Tax department filed a petition in the same court seeking custody of the seized cash of Rs.35 lakh.
