Sleuths of Central Crime Station of Hyderabad today arrested Mr. Chaitanya Reddy for the murder of his wife Ms. Kiran reddy, niece of the Union Minister S. Jaipal reddy.
Police arrested him after the post mortem report had established that the 26-year old dermatologist died due to severe beatings. “When confronted by police, Chaitanya reddy has reportedly agreed that he had beaten her,” said media reports.
Police later produced him in the Nampally criminal court which remanded him to judicial custody.
It is learnt that Chaitanya Reddy had a quarrel with his brother-in-law at a party. After bringing his wife Kiran reddy home following the incident, he beat her angrily resulting in her death.
Kiran Reddy was found dead in her house at Bharani Layout in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad on June 18 and police first registered a case of suspicious death. But, they have modified it after suspicions were raised by her father.
