Transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana today took the oath as the new PCC Chief in place of D. Srinivas at Gandhi Bhavan, the state party headquarters in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy, several ministers and MLAs were present when the new PCC chief took the oath.
Earlier, Botsa left for the Gandhi Bhavan from his residence in a procession of party activists and leaders. On his way to the Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa garlanded the statues of Smt Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Bapu Jaggivan Ram, Dr BR Ambedkar and YSR.
Yet early in the morning, the new PCC chief offered prayers in the Bangaru Mysamma temple in Nampally and sought blessings.
