Economic Times advocates Telangana stateMaking a point that the congress party will not suffer any loss in terms of vote bank in the Seema Andhra area in case of a division of the state, India’s leading economic daily The Economic Times advocated formation of the Telangana state at this juncture in its editorial on Wednesday.

Arguing that the small states like Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand have developed fast and are now in an advanced stage leaving their mother states behind, the daily said the congress party would not suffer any loss in the Seema Andhra area which is opposing the division. Even if the congress suffers any loss, it would only be temporary, the daily says.

Writing that almost all states in the country have been formed following agitations, the daily said it is high time that the state of Telangana is formed. The editorial suggests that the congress will increase its stocks in the Telangana area abnormally though it may suffer temporary setbacks in the Seema Andhra but there also the party will gain innumerable strength gradually.

The daily says that the division of the state would be good for both areas and the country as well as it would lead to faster growth and help strengthen the economy of the country.
