Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy appealed to all pro-Telangana parties, groups and organizations to stop their agitation including the Million March proposed to be held on March 10 in Hyderabad in view of the various forthcoming examinations.
Speaking at a media conference in his chambers in the assembly Tuesday evening, the CM said nearly 20 lakh students, including the Intermediate students have been preparing for their examinations and various competitive examinations and they should be allowed to prepare well and take the examinations in a peaceful manner.
“Division of the state is not in our hands and I call up on everyone to wait for the decision of the union government on the demand for the formation of Telangana state,” he said. “I request all concerned to stop their protests and agitations till the examinations are held,” Kirankumar reddy appealed.
Referring to the non-cooperation movement launched by the Telangana region employees, the chief minister said that a Cabinet sub-committee was looking into their demands but the demand for creation of Telangana is not in the hands of the state government.
Meanwhile, the OU Joint Action Committee has called for a city-based rail roko on March 2.
