Kapu Nadu, the caste organization of the Kapus in the state today promised full support to mega star and PRP president Chiranjeevi on the condition that he should work for the social justice in the state.

Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad, Kapu Nadu Chairman Miriyala Venkata rao said all Kapus in the state would stand by Chiranjeevi strongly if he tried to achieve his cherished goal of social justice.

Venkata rao demanded that the post of chief minister should be given to a BC leader as they are majority in the state population. “Political power is held by upper caste leaders whose population is only three per cent in the state,” he said and added that political power must be held by leaders belonging to the majority people.
Venkata rao, along with other Kapu leaders Chenchal Rao, Surya Chandra Rao and Appa Rao, said that they are ready to support either Chandrababu Naidu or former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan reddy or any other leader if the post of chief minister is given to a BC leader.

Welcoming the merger of PRP with congress, the Kapu Nadu leaders demanded that Kapus must be included in the BC list.
