While the pro-Telangana TRS chief KCR and T region congress members along with some TDP MPs stalled the proceedings of the Lok Sabha today demanding quick decision on the formation of Telangana state, some Seema Andhra congress MPs who are opposing the formation of Telangana state have quietly distributed pamphlets to almost all MPs in the house opposing Telangana formation.
A map which shows Hyderabad as part of Seema Andhra state was also distributed in the house today by the Seema Andhra MPs.
The pamphlets have first gone into the hands of opposition leader Sushma Swaraj who openly demanded a T bill in the budget session of parliament. The next to receive the pamphlets were Samajwadi party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav and JD-U chief Sharad Yadav who are also supporting the T state.
The Seema Andhra MPs warned in the pamphlets that acceptance of the Telangana state will lead to agitations for formation of separate states across the country. “Country is already crippled with agitations for separate states and now the formation of Telangana will lead to agitations in 24 states,” the MPs warned in the pamphlet and asked the Centre not to accept the demand for T state formation.
Reports said the pamphlet distribution is the handiwork of protagonists of the united AP Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal, Sabbam Hari, Undavalli Arunkumar, Kavuri Sambasiva rao, Sai Pratap and Anantha Venkatrami reddy.
Lagadapati warned against pamphlets
After coming to know of the pamphlet distribution opposing Telangana formation, congress president Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary Ahmad Patel called Rajagopal and some other Seema Andhra congress MPs to his chamber and warned them against such actions in future. “It is not good on your part to have done that,” he reportedly and cautioned them that the high command would take serious note of such actions.
