Minister TG Venkatesh said today that he would install statues of TRS president KCR in both Hyderabad and Kurnool if he gives up the demand for separate Telangana state and agrees for the cause of the united AP.
Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad after paying tributes to the statue of Potti Sriramulu along with the chief minister Kirankumar reddy on the occasion of his Jayanthi, he said he has no objection to install the statue of KCR even when he is alive if gives up the slogan of separate Telangana.
Venkatesh opined that the formation of Telangana state would lead to demands of separate states from each and every district in the state. Referring to the statement of Jawahar Lal Nehru on the formation of the Andhra Pradesh State that Telangana people could get separated if there is any disagreement, the minister said the context of the statement must be studied in right earnest.
“The circumstances that made him give such a statement were totally different from those existing today,” he said.
