That is the main reason in this nation of billion, there are more 'Baba's' than Scientists. We believe in magics more than logic. Exactly this is the point where a 'Baba' impresses us. This is how fear of hoarding gets us closer to these God-men. On the other hand, greed strikes a business relationships with such divine leaders to thrive on their popularity and in turn they use these elite references to attract the common man. Eventually the God-man and his band of elite devotees gain wealth but the lured common man shells out a portion of his hard earned money.

Though not to the extent of his mentor, Bala Sai's popularity rose considerably. He started bringing out God's idols from his mouth and giving Udhi (divine ash) from air, to his devotees. Impressed by his tricks many followers donated liberally. His lifestyle changed and he started having a comfortable living along with his followers who thrived on real estate based on his prophesies.
