Review decision on Millennium March shortly :KCR

Kodandaram, Millennium March, KCR, students, parents, ssc exams, telangana bill, parliament, TPJACThe Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) founder, K.Chandrasekhar Rao today said in Delhi that the deferment of Millennium March programme will be taken up at a meeting of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) ahead of March 10.

The TRS chief admitted he has received representations from the parents of students that the programme be postponed to a later date in view of the ongoing SSC and the subsequent Plus Two exams.

In a reversal of sorts, TPJAC convenor Prof.Kodandaram has asked the state government to put off the schedule of Intermediate exams.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Civil Supplies and Legislative Affairs D Sridhar Babu too joined the chorus of students' parents in appealing to the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) to postpone the scheduled program as it goes against the interests of Intermediate students.

In a related development, the High Court issued notices to the state government, including the parties involved in the program, the Employees JAC and the TPJAC on the conduct of intermediate examinations in response to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).

The program is aimed at exerting pressure on the centre to introduce Telangana Bill in the Parliament.

It is expected that the mass movement of nearly 10 lakh people from the entire region of Telangana would paralyse the movement in the city.
