Nagam creates rift between JAC, TRS

nagamDifferences have cropped up between the Telangana political JAC and TRS over the issue of supporting the public meeting being conducted by the senior TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy at Nagarkurnool on May 9 as part of his campaign for achieving Telangana.

While the JAC has extended its conditional support to Nagam on the issue, TRS has bluntly refused to support him.

JAC convener, Prof. Kodandaram said that JAC has welcomed his decision to conduct the meeting to demand separate Telangana state but he needs to do more.

“We welcome Janardhan Reddy’s decision to take up the Telangana cause. But he must do more to prove his sincerity and credentials,” he said talking to journalists in Hyderabad on Friday. “If he comes out of TDP and takes up the Telangana cause, then he will be fully believed.”

Kodandaram further said he will hold discussions with all JAC members to decide on participating in the Nagarkurnool meeting.
