T activist denied constable post

T activist denied constable postA young man by name Chandra Kanth Reddy filed a petition in the state human rights commission on Monday complaining that he was denied the post of a constable in the police department for the reason that he had raised ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans at a public meeting addressed by the then chief minister K. Rosaiah some months ago at Vikarabad.

Chandra Kanth Reddy said the district SP had not given him the posting even though he produced a letter from the concerned Sub-Inspector saying that
the case was lifted against him after payment of a fine.

He informed the commission that a petty case was booked against him for being an active member of Telangana agitation and raising anti-government slogans during the meeting of Rosaiah.

Acting on the petition, the acting chairperson of the commission Mr K. Peda Peri Reddy asked the DGP to submit a detailed report on the issue within 15 days.
