Aggrieved at the Centre’s delay in announcing the formation of Telangana state, Congress MPs of the Telangana region today said they would resort to direct action along with other pro-Telangana groups for achieving Telangana state.
Addressing media persons in Delhi this evening, the MPs said they would participate in the 3-day Rail Roko agitation beginning Oct 15 across all the districts of Telangana.
Mr Madhu Yashki at Nizamabad, Mr Manda Jagannadham at Gadwala, Komatireddy Rajagopal reddy at Bhuvanagiri, Vivek at Ramagundam, Suresh Shetkar at Zaheerabad, Gutta Sukhendar reddy at Nalgonda, Ponnam Prabhakar at Jammikunta, Balaram Naik at Mahaboobabad and Siricilla Rajaiah at Warangal will lead the Rail Roko agitation during the three days.
The MPs have called upon the congress cadres to participate in the Rail Roko agitation in full strength and make the programme grand success.
Simultaneously, the MPs are going to press for the acceptance of their resignations during their meeting with the Lok Sabha Speaker Ms. Meira Kumar later this evening.
