Badvelu congress MLA Mrs. Kamalamma said today that she is very much in the congress party and will work for the victory of the congress candidate Dr DL Ravindra Reddy in the Kadapa Lok Sabha by election.

Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad after meeting the chief minister Kirankumar reddy, she said that she sided with YSR congress party president YS Jaganmohan reddy due to her respects towards the late chief minister YSR but she never worked for YSR Congress party even for a single day. “I am a congress worker and will continue in it,” she declared.

Kamalamma, a staunch supporter of Jagan, had ditched him as she was not getting prominence in his party and switched loyalties to congress. But even after that, there are reports that Jagan men had met Kamalamma and convinced her to join him again.

In fact, there are reports that she came out with fresh demands to Jagan to continue supporting him but Jagan reportedly rejected them. Later on she is back once again in the congress camp.

She said she won from the congress party ticket and would continue to work for congress only. “I will also work for the victory of congress candidates in the by-elections,” she said.
