Manmohan plans for retirement

Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh who has decided to retire from politics after the 2014 general elections, is now planning for post retirement. Earlier today Manmohan conveyed to the Union Urban Development Ministry that he wants spend his rest of his life in Delhi's ex-chief minister Sheila Dixit's residence.

Manmohan Singh will move to a four-bedroom sprawling bungalow on Motilal Nehru Marg which was vacated by former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit recently. The bungalow is spread across 2.5 acres and has the finest conditions to live. Manmohan started searching for a perfect home since February first week and asked the Central Public Works Department's [CPWD] help in this matter. The officials have presented two bungalows for the PM and his wife.  One of them was 5 Janpath which was former Prime Minister I.K. Gujral's residence till he passed away on November 30, 2012 and the other was 3 Motilal Nehru Marg where Dikshit lived since 2008.

The four-bedroom house, a Type VIII bungalow has a sprawling garden. Delhi ex-CM Sheila built a nature trail in the garden, schoolchildren regularly visit this place. Being a corner bungalow, it is preferred by security officials too.  Currently the CPWD has started the renovation works in the bungalow and are expected to finish the works in a month or two.

Manmohan is presently residing at the the official residence of the Prime Minister at 7 Race Course Road is expected to vacate the house the day he steps down of the Prime Minister's post and the same day he is planning for a shift.
