TTD failed on implementation of two plans

Sometimes a good plan also backfires when the others are not taken into confidence while making a decision.  Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams took a decision to take over the Panchayat of Tiruchanur in which Padmavati temple is existing.  Padmavati temple is one of the places piligrims prefer to visit after Tirumala temple as the deity Padmavati is believed to be Venkateswara’s consort.   TTD manages performance of all the temple chores in Padmavati temple.

In fact TTD wants to take over the Tiruchanur Panchayat only to develop it.  If the temple is developed on its own it is limited to the revenue of the temple.  But if TTD takes it over there will not be any dearth to the funds to implement the developmental programs.  But TTD failed to reason it out with the natives of the Tiruchanur village as a result of which they revolted against TTD for their decision to take over.

There is a valid point from the point of view of the locals.  They say that although so many thousands of people throng the temple every day, no one stays there.  Then what is the point of taking up so called developmental activities? They say that the village totally gets deserted after the last ritual in the Padmavati temple.

Second failure of TTD is in fixing the minimum time to travel to and fro Alipiri toll gate at the foot of the seven hills and Gurudadri toll gate on Tirumala hills.  TTD in an attempt to curb accidents on the ghat road of Tirumala, introduced a system to note the timings at the toll gates to check the speed of the private vehicles carrying pilgrims.  As the reaching time will be recorded at the toll gate, instead of travelling at a moderate speed the drivers are driving the vehicles at the speed they are used to and stopping before the toll gate to spend the time allotted.  Because of this, vehicles are obstructing other vehicles and at the same time causing inconvenience to the passengers travelling in those vehicles.

This is what happens when a plan is sketched on the paper without thinking of its practical implementation and mentalities of the persons involved in the action.
