Remarkable in the history that a boy by birth always felt that he was a she and wanted to make the change over as early as five, but swapped roles in 16. Now enters the beauty contest with special distinction.
For the 18-year old Jackie Green, it was dream come true to enter the Miss England beauty pageant. Incidentally the young beauty is the first transsexual who had surgically changed, entered the contest. Another feather up her cap was earlier, she was the country's youngest transsexual after a surgery in Thailand on her 16th birthday, The Sun reported.
Jackie hails from Leeds, and her story is quite interesting, brought here for reader enrichment. She hopes to highlight the bullying and transgender issues, taking this as an opportunity where global audience would hear her voice. "I went to Britain's Next Top Model show in London and was really surprised when scouts came up to me. Miss England is a prestigious competition. I'd love to win. I've as good a chance as anyone," Green said. She is now in the Miss Fresh Photographic round of the contest where public votes decide who makes the semi-finals of the main contest.
Well now let’s see how this bold teenager took a tough decision of undergoing the surgery. For Jackie it was her mother Susie who had been her pillar of strength. The mother even mortgaged their house to have the surgery done for her daughter. Jackie was named as Jack 18 years back at her birth. As Jack was growing up, he felt that he was misfit in the disguise given by birth and even went on to wear girl’s uniform in school. At ten years the son spelled his desire to his mother and mother refused to accept. But then eventually, in mid teens, the son committed attempts on his life, with four unsuccessful bids. Left with no other option, the mother had to make the sacrifice and allow as per her child’s view, to keep her alive.
The feeling of being feminine was so strong in the young lad that he would cuddle his dolls as babies and pamper them. The boy used to tell his mother, ‘Mummy, God made a mistake, I have a girl’s brain in a boy’s body.’ (With inputs from Internet) (AarKay)
