UK Court rejects Nirav Modi's application against Extradition:- Indian billionaire businessman Nirav Modi is absconding from the country after he owes Rs 13500 crores to Punjab National Bank and its allies. Nirav Modi was caught in London and he is jailed in the capital. A London court is hearing his extradition and the Indian officials are speeding up the process of his extradition without leaving any stone unturned. A UK High Court rejected the application filed by Nirav Modi to appeal against the extradition case to India. He lodged an appeal last month in the High Court of London. It was on April 15th this year, UK Home Secretary Priti Patel allowed Nirav Modi to be extradited to India. Nirav Modi was arrested on March 19, 2019 and he is landed in Wandsworth prison in London. All his bail petitions are rejected by the Westminster Court and High Court. With his appeal against extradition, Nirav Modi will now be flown to India soon. Assets worth Rs 9371 crores belonging to Vijay Mallya, Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi have been transferred to the state-run banks by the Enforcement Directorate to recover the losses from the bank fraud. The Enforcement Directorate seized assets worth Rs 18,170.02 crores including Rs 969 crores worth foreign assets. The banks could recover 80.45 percent of the total loss. "Fugitives & economic offenders will be actively pursued; their properties attached & dues recovered," told Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in a tweet.

40 cases of Delta Plus variant traced in India:- As per the health experts, Delta Plus is said to be the most dangerous variant of coronavirus and it is said to be the recent mutant that is highly transmissible. 40 cases of Delta Plus are traced in the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala for now. Though the situations are not alarming, the states are taking all the precautions and are finding out the origins of how it reached India. On the other side, all the top experts are conducting a detailed analysis on the mutant of Delta Plus. IT is said to be the new mutant of Delta or B.1.617.2 which caused the second wave of coronavirus in India. Delta Plus is resistant to the monoclonal antibody cocktail treatment for coronavirus. India is one among the ten countries where the Delta Plus variant is traced across the world. Sian Harding, Professor of Cardiac Pharmacology at Imperial’s National Heart & Lung Institute told that Takotsubo syndrome is a very serious condition and it happens when people slip into a sudden emotional shock. Sian Harding also said that it is not easy to understand why some people respond on such a strong note. The further research about the Takotsubo syndrome is being investigated for now. The other causes and the symptoms are traced and it would take a long time to conduct a detailed research on Takotsubo syndrome.

42,640 new coronavirus cases reported in India:- A total number of 42,640 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours and the cases dropped down further. The total cases reported in total reached 2,99,77,861. With 81,839 new discharges, the total people who recovered from coronavirus reached 2,89,26,038. 1167 new deaths are registered in India and the death tally reached 3,89,302 as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The total number of active cases of coronavirus in India stands at 6,62,521. The total number of people who took up the vaccination dose reached 28,87,66,201. Bharat Biotech submitted Phase 3 clinical trials data of Covaxin to the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) and the efficacy is said to be 77.8 percent. There are several cases of Delta Plus variant reported in the country as per the states. There are 2.14 crore vaccinations available with the states reported the Indian government. There are 58,140 active cases for coronavirus in the state. 7504 people recovered completely from coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours and there are 2,12,05,849 samples tested in total in Andhra Pradesh in total till date. The districts of Chittoor, East Godavari, Krishna, Nelllore and West Godavari have been reporting a high number of new cases for coronavirus. A total number of 53,256 new cases for coronavirus were reported in India yesterday taking the total number of cases reported till date to 2,99,35,221. 78,190 people recovered or discharged in the last 24 hours taking the total number of recoveries in the country to 2,88,44,199. 1422 new deaths are reported in the country taking the total death tally to reach 3,88,135.
