Tata Motors to launch Hexa equipped with Automated Manual Transmission, shortly

The conception of Tata Hexa was first brought to notice at the Geneva Motor Show which is executed in the year 2015. Shortly after the display of the concept, there was official news revealed by Mayank Pareek, president of Tata Motors Passenger Car Vehicles, that Hexa would be launched in India in recent times.

Following that, in the 2016 event of the Auto Expo, Tata Motors presented and showcased a completely produced Hexa MPV which was ready to be used. To add to it, there have been statements that Tata Hexa would be offered in both the versions - automatic as well as manual transmission.

Unfortunately, there has been no visible progress or signs of Tata Hexa hitting the showrooms. In fact there have been revelations last month stating that the launch of the car has been postponed indefinitely. However, it is firm that the vehicle would be launched with an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).

The motor to be used in Tata Hexa is a 2.2 - liter engine capable of producing 156 PS with a torque of 400 Nm. Although the engine may be the same as that used in Tata Safari SUVs in terms of power, the Tata Hexa engine would be tuned differently, being equipped with ESP and airbags to give it the rustic feel.

On the other hand, there are some bad news coming the way with Supreme Court banning registration of diesel vehicles with a capacity of 2 liters and above in Delhi NCR. With other states following suit, Tata is currently developing a 1.9 liter diesel vehicle which is set to be launched sometime next year.
