According to veteran actor Anupam Kher, India needs to make movies that are original and evolve out of our land, our issues, our problems, to shine bright at international platforms like the Oscars. Moreover, It is painful that we needed Richard Attenborough to make 'Gandhi' and win eight Oscars. While he stresses on the fact that it is important to have a certain kind of originality, Anupam, whose debut movie "Saaransh" was India's official entry to the Oscars. To say more, he added that we need to make movies, which come out of our own land, our issues, our problems, our celebrations. However, now it is in a transition phase and we see that happening. Let us all hope for good. He also says that it is very difficult to please 1.2 billion people but he is optimistic that we will manage to do that. Now coming to the actor, he is basking in the glory of his Hollywood film " Silver Linings Playbook", which is also featuring Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper wherein Anupam plays a psychiatrist called Patel that has won various honours at the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Anupam expresses that it is his first American film and it has been on a winning height at various award functions. It is in fact a great sense of achievement and he feel happy and proud. Just a glimpse of the actress is being shown in the trailer while the hero of the film, Ajay Devgan and others being the centric in the trailers… But, director of the film, Sajid Khan who has proved his knowledge on gaining collections at Box Office for his films are very high, with the films like 'Houseful' and ‘Houseful – 2’, has given a different explanation altogether for not making Tamanna appear in the pre promotion activities or in the trailers of the film much. The director says, ‘it is good for both the film and Tamanna as well. Audience will always have that enthusiasm to see a fresh face on screen and we would not spoil the interest by making Tamanna appear on screen every now and then’. Karan Johar was shooting last week for his short film on '100 years of Indian Cinema' Rani Mukherjee and Randip Hooda playing the main roles. Knowing about this, it seems lot of crowed came to see the shoot. It was just near by the shooting location, Cremation ground was also located. Reportedly the team members of KJO went ahead and halted a cremation, until the shot was complete. This rose to a verbal argument between both the parties, according to the eye witness. Responding to the issue, Karan Johar stated he completely tied up with the shoot and did not knew all this happened. Well, everything was set right later.
