I just want to explore how many ever good roles I can do and stay here for a life time’, said Actress Shriya who has completed 10 years of her acting debut. The actress has been fortunate enough to act opposite one of the biggest stars like Chiranjeevi and Super Star Rajni Kanth and managed to do some good roles as well. Just rewind and re think what happened some 3 months back. A single song that got famous Worldwide... irrespective of the language all the film Industries started wooing this song… and that is 'Koleveri Di' from Dhanush - Sruthi Hassan starrer '3' directed by Super Star RajniKanth’s daughter and Dhanush wife Aishwarya... on seeing the hulchul this song created, everyone were much confident about the success of the film. on this confidence the distributors bought this movie rights to a very high price. The movie released and that’s it… no hype and no talk about the film. this flick managed to be just an average success and in some areas not even that. Not only in the original language Tamil this movie has been produced, even in all other languages like Telugu, this movie released among much of expectations, but the result, we are seeing today… In this regard, we got to hear n number of talks about the distributors demanding the film makers of this flick, to repay back their money and RajniKanth promising to resolve this issue (Dhanush father Kasturi Raja being the producer of this film)… Yesterday, in the press meet conducted, our Telugu distributors and Producer Natti Kumar who produced the Telugu version of this film, clarified RajniKanth has nothing to do with the profit or loss of this film. They said they had contacted Dhanush and he is responding positively. They also expressed their anguish of Kasturi Raja not even showing them the final copy before selling the release rights to them and how they were at a loss on trusting the film to be a success and now experiencing the result that was actually unexpected… So true, any one element like a song or a star cast cannot alone decide the success or failure of the film!

Well folks!! Kollywood has yet wake up from the New Year carnival, not much of happenings around for the day… but lets us see what was expected and what actually happened. The whole tinsel world expected some grand releases on Tamil New Years day. But nothing much happened, but for the release of Udayanidhi Stalin’s OK OK. The hilarious comedy film seems to have caught up with the audience. However critics feel that the festival had no option too. On the whole the film is a treat to relive you from the daily stress and strain. There were lots of expectations every New Year in the Kamal-Rajni era. Most top heroes used to put up releases on this day and it was festive at the picture palaces. But this year was dumb feel the enthusiasts. Probably they feel this is due to the New Year date the confusion. Prior to 2005 or earlier it was a festive occasion for the fans and things were distorted by political controversies. But thanks to our CM at least the next year will see some planning from the movie fraternity to make the New Year a frivolous occasion. On the other hand the FEFSI and Producers row seems to have had its toll on the President S A Chandrsekhar. Poor man little did he realize that there was so much against him. But his son Ilayadhalapathi, Vijay seems to rock in `Thupaki’. The fresh set of stills speaks volumes of the character. Unfortunately the trailer was delayed and is expected shortly. Vijay plays, rather a serious role, as an encounter specialist. Kajal Aggarwal is his lady love in this AR Murugadoss project. A teaser of the of Thala Ajith’s Billa-2 was also expected. Bollywood starlet Sameera Reddy has just become the highest paid actress in Sandalwood. The actress, who is entering Kannada film industry in multi-starrer Varadhanayaka has got an expensive pay packet to play one of the female leads in the upcoming movie. The star received a pay cheque of Rs. 35 Lakhs for her last film ‘Vettai’ from the production house of director Linguswamy, who also directed the film apart from producing it. This was the highest amount that the actress had received till then. The buzz in the industry about the actress - payment producer Shankara Gowda, who has signed Ms. Reddy for his film Varadhanayaka said. “Yes, the actress has been paid a huge some that is the highest payment that she had received ever and the highest payment paid to an actress for a Kannada film.” But, the producer did not disclose the exact amount. Shankare Gowda has admitted that the amount paid to the 29-year-old is the highest ever for an actress in Sandalwood. Sameera Reddy will be seen doing the role of Sudeep's wife in Varadhanayaka. The movie produced by Ayyappa P and produced by Shankare Gowda also features Chiranjeevi Sarja and Nikesha Patel.
