Rangula Ratnam Analysis
The first half of Rangula Raatnam starts off on a decent note but it turns extremely predictable and dragged. The unwanted emotional drama irritates the audience big time though the film has decent entertainment throughout. The love story doesn’t look fresh which is a huge letdown and the songs doesn’t sound melodious. With an interesting interval bang, the first half of Rangula Raatnam falls short of the expectations. Raj Tarun, Chitra Shukla and Sitara performed well in their assigned roles and are a treat to watch.
The second half of the film too continues the same mood and dips down further. With huge dose of emotional drama, the audience will be left puzzled and the real plot has been left over completely. All the songs look bad on screen and they have not been placed well. The pre-climax episodes shatter the film completely and the climax of Rangula Raatnam ends on a decent yet predictable note. The second half of Rangula Raatnam is a huge disappointment in all the available ways.
Performance
Raj Tarun who scored many stupendous hits in his career steps out with one more entertaining role which reminds us about his previous films. He has been energetic throughout and played his role well. Chitra Shukla has been decent and the debutant performed with ease and has been emotional. Sithara played a decent role and she is one among the highlights of the first half. Priyadarshi has been assigned an entertaining role and his comic timing has been top notch. All the other actors have been decent in their assignments.
The story of Rangula Raatnam has been decent but it is predictable. The screenplay and the dialogues are the major disappointments of the film. The music and the background score are massive disappointments and they fail to hold the film. The cinematography looks decent and the editing has been decent enough. The production values have been below the expectations and the debutant director Shree Ranjani makes no impact with Rangula Raatnam.
Rangula Ratnam Final Word
Raj Tarun tops the show with his flawless performance throughout but this alone could not save Rangula Raatnam which is a boring feast right from the first frame.
